Job Title: EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)

Job Overview

As an EMT at East Coast Medical Transportation, you will be responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing medical care, and ensuring the safe transportation of patients. You will work closely with other medical professionals to deliver timely, efficient, and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency medical care and life support to patients during transport.

  • Safely operate and drive ambulances in response to emergency and non-emergency calls.

  • Assess patient conditions and manage treatment until arrival at medical facilities.

  • Assist with patient transfers, ensuring safety and comfort.

  • Document patient care reports and maintain accurate records of services provided.

  • Follow all company protocols and safety standards, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and medical personnel.

  • Maintain and inspect medical equipment and vehicles to ensure they are in proper working order.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Valid EMT-Basic (or higher) certification.

  • Licensing: State EMT licensure and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Experience: Experience in emergency medical services preferred but not required (we offer training).

  • Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry patients, work long shifts, and remain calm under pressure.

  • CPR Certification: Current CPR certification.
